Santiago Lascurain-CV



Santiago Lascurain obtained his bachelor degree at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 1998. In 2005 he moved to The Netherlands, where he did postgraduate studies with Carlo Marchione in Maastricht and a Master degree with Enno Voorhorst in the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. 

He is active as a soloist and as member of Modelo62, a contemporary music ensemble based in The Netherlands. He has performed in Denmark, Spain, France, Germany, The Netherlands and Mexico, and he is co-artistic director of Sounds of Mexico, a platform for the promotion of Mexican classical music and the collaboration of Mexican musicians and artists from other countries. Until 2010 he was also part of Serenata Mexicana, one of the first Mariachi bands in The Netherlands. His solo debut CD '20th Century Guitar Recital' received outstanding reviews in The Netherlands and Germany.

He has an extensive experience as a guitar and music teacher. He has taught privately for over 10 years  to students of different ages and interests, and he currently teaches at The British School in Voorschoten and 't Klooster in Rotterdam.
